In our organisation, we are missing a function for comparing the content of documents (or document versions) in Doxis. There are several use cases where our users need to export documents or document versions to compare their content in third-party software.
It is counterintuitive to be forced to export documents that are already in Doxis — we would expect an ECM platform to provide such functionality as standard.
Given the new AI capabilities available, it should be possible to implement such a feature on the Doxis platform.
we have also implemented some functions with usage of local word comparison, but we would also like to do this in webcube and also without scripting effort.
The usecase that we have in our mind focuses on making differences visible, not on merging. The format in the usecase is PDF, other office formats would also be interesting.
Mainly the comparison should be textual, if graphical elements would also be highlighted this would be also helpful, but we are focusing on textual content.
Probably a useful enhancement and already implemented in certain Doxis projects, e.g. by using Microsoft Word comparison feature with a local client (not available for Office web)
What are the main expectations for an integrated document comparision for you, e.g.
Just make differences visible by highlights/ markups?
Provide a merged, editable document containing all differences?
Which formats should be supported?
Textual or graphical comparison?
