Show/Hide Ribbonbar-Buttons via Customizing

There are several Ribbonbar-Buttons that can only be shown/hidden globally via the rights in App - Menu , e.g. "Subscribe", "Export" etc.

It should be possible to individually choose wich elements should be shown in the ribbonbar of each search dialogue, resultlist, document-display etc. via customizing in cube-designer.

currently it is necessary to do this via scripting.

    Hi Edgar,

You are right, configuring it this way is even better. Please make sure that you cover all available buttons with rights.

You should also consider adding an option to automatically hide disabled buttons. If implemented as described below, users would always see a lot of buttons, many of which would be disabled. Having the option to configure "Show disabled buttons - yes/no" in e.g. a result/document display etc. would be very helpful as this way users would only see the functions that are available to them.

    Benjamin

    Hello Benjamin,

we are not planning to implement such rights on the level of search dialogs, result lists or document displays.

However, we could consider functional rights for document classes, folder classes and process classes.

    Example:

    DMS - Dokumentklassen:

    • Dokument - Exportieren

    • Dokument - Drucken

    • Dokument - Versenden

If these rights are not granted, we would disable the buttons everywhere where a document of this class in shown (result list, document display and so on).

    Would this help as well?

    BR,

    Edgar
