It would be helpful if we could name responsible Persons for Roles, Groups, Databases.
In our Organisation this would make it easy to find out who is the Data-Owner- the one who is responsible for the data and who is in charge to accept or reject data access requests.
From a bird's-eye perspective this is meta-data, maybe organisation specific. If we could add our own meta-data fields to databases, roles and groups this would already be helpful.
A more sophisticated Solution, aware of the meaning of the data would be welcome and could issue warnings if a data-owner leaves the company.
Another bonus would be that it's possible to not only have one data-ownerbut a group of data-owners (list of users) - as a bonus storry.
The information should be as close to the object ()role, right, database) as possible.
You could store the information in excel but that is not verry helpful.
Not everyone is maintainig Roles / right mapping to eg. AD Groupes in the identity provider. Even if you do the information is not available directly to admins in der CubeDesinger.
How would you store the data owner of a database iin the identity provider?
It's not enought to have one group think of 100 databases with 50 data-owners.
Hi Knut,
wouldn't be sufficient to have this information as part of the identity provider? Or perhaps create a dedicated group for that and assign the respective users to it?

Douglas
